Halfway between Agadir and Taghazout, Tamraght is a peaceful coastal village that has become a favorite spot for surfers. Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and surrounded by desert hills, the village offers a natural setting ideal for learning, far from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Group lessons take place on open, sandy beaches known for their gentle, progressive waves. Banana Point and Devil’s Rock are perfect for working on both the basics and your first rides on green waves. The environment is ideal for group learning, with plenty of space to practice without getting in each other’s way.
The session begins with a survey of the spot and a briefing on the day’s conditions. Instructors explain how the waves work, the entry points into the water, and essential safety rules. After a light warm-up, participants learn or review the fundamentals: paddling, body positioning, balance, and standing up.
Group lessons encourage interaction and motivation. Beginners experience their first sensations of gliding through the whitewater, while intermediate surfers are guided toward cleaner waves to improve their positioning and fluidity. Instruction is consistent, with personalized advice given directly in the water.
After the session, Tamraght invites you to relax. We often extend the experience with lunch overlooking the sea, mint tea in the village, or a stroll to nearby beaches. The atmosphere is simple and warm, ideal for sharing your impressions and enjoying the coast’s leisurely pace.
